
Barrett loses husband

The WPFL 2003 National Champions the Northern Ice regrets to announce that one of our own (Kathy Barrett # 62) lost her husband on Sunday Afternoon in a motorcycle accident. Kathy Barrett's husband Reil W. Barrett was killed while riding his motorcycle with 2 of his friends, when the high winds forced him off the road. Reil, leaves behind wife Kathy (nee Johnson) Barrett, and 2 small sons.
Theresa Glass, GM and CO-Owner of the Northern Ice states that "This tragedy has hit the Ice family hard, we consider all members of the team as a member of our family, and when one hurts we all hurt. Our thoughts and prayer go out to the Barrett family".
The Northern Ice has set up a memorial fund at Guaranty Bank, titled NORTHERN ICE BARRETT FAMILY FUND. 100% of the money will go to Kathy Barrett and her 2 sons. Anyone wishing to make a contribution may do so by sending checks or walk in to:
