The New Jersey Jackals force a game five in the Northeast League Championships, winning game four in another extra inning victory 4-2. New Jersey started the scoring in the top of the first, plating a run off of a Wilton Veras RBI double. North Shore answered back in the bottom of the first off of a SAC fly from Travis Oglesby. Both teams were held scoreless until the bottom of the eighth, when Frank Charles's RBI double brought home the go ahead run for the Spirit. The Jackals tied the game in the bottom of the ninth on the fielder's choice at-bat of Wady Almonte. DH Scott Goodman, who had the game-tying homerun in game three for the Jackals, again came through in the clutch, hitting a two RBI single in the top of the eleventh to push the series to a game five. Starters Bryan Morse (North Shore) and Jackson Crowther (New Jersey) had similar lines, but got no decisions. Morse went eight innings, allowing six hits, two runs and striking out three, while Crowther went seven and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits, two runs and striking out three. The win went to game one loser Aaron Myers, who threw two innings of no hit ball. The loss went to Ryan Bicondoa, who picked up his second loss in as many days, going two and two-third innings, allowing two hits, two runs, three walks and striking out one.
