In front of Fraser Field's largest playoff crowd, the Jackals were able to come back from 3-0 and 4-1 deficits to win game three of the Northeast League Championships, 7-4. Both starters, Josh Miller (Jackals) and Aaron Dean (Spirit) got no decision in this thirteen inning contest. North Shore scored first in the second off of a Frank Charles RBI single. The Spirit added two more in the third to take a 3-0 lead. Chris Rowan's solo homerun in the sixth pulled New Jersey to within two, but a Jackals' error in the bottom of the six allowed another run to score for the Spirit. In the seventh, John Anderson and Wilton Veras hit RBI doubles for New Jersey to make the score 4-3, North Shore. Scott Goodman hit a solo homerun in the eight to tie the game for the Jackals. The score remained 4-4 for four innings, until the top of the thirteenth when Jay LaFlair had a RBI single for New Jersey, which was followed by a two RBI Zach Smithlin single, to give the Jackals the win. Fabricio Benitez got the win for the Jackals, going four and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits, no runs, one walk and striking out five. Evan Neiser picked up the save. The loss went to Ryan Bicondoa who went four innings, allowing six hits, three runs, one walk and struck out three.
