
North Stars Complete Sweep of Rangers

Traverse City - The Traverse City North Stars completed their sweep of the Marquette Rangers Sunday afternoon at Centre Ice Arena, winning 4 0 behind the shutout efforts of goaltender Drew Strandberg.
Strandberg stopped all 16 shots he faced on the afternoon, as the North Stars 4 1, 21 pts.) claimed sole possession of first place in the North American Hockey League North Division. With the loss, the Rangers 4. 20 pts.) sit alone in second place; six points ahead of third place Janesville Rangers travel to play the Janesville Jets this coming Friday and Saturday evenings at the Janesville Arena.
Kyle Jean led the offensive attack for Traverse City, scoring two goals Sunday afternoon; his second and third of the weekend. Sean Burke and Nick Shkreli also scored in the game for Traverse City.
Kevin Kissaw took the loss in net for Marquette, stopping 21 of 25 Traverse City shots on the afternoon.
