North Shores approves Iceberg Arena

Muskegon, MI - The West Michigan Blizzard proud members of the All American Hockey League (AAHL) are proud to announce that the proposed 1,245-seat ice arena for the Muskegon area has been approved by Norton Shores City Council.

The two million 43,000-square-foot arena is scheduled to be open before the start of the 201-2011 AAHL season which will commence on October 22nd and will feature 1,246 seats, sky boxes and a restaurant.

"We are very excited to have everything in place finally" stated Blizzard Owners Bill and Sandy Vitale. "This is going to be a great season in our own brand new facility where our fans can watch the only pro hockey team in Muskegon"

The 2010-2011 AAHL schedule is hoped to be released early next month with the West Michigan Blizzard and five other teams.
