Nords Fall to Mudbugs in Game 2

The Nordiques and Mudbugs squared off in game 2 of a best of 3 matchup. The Nords needed a win to keep their season alive and force a game 3.
The first period started with a face-off win and good control from The Nords but The Mudbugs would use their forecheck once again to muffle The Nordiques in their own zone and get some offense on the other side of things. The Mudbugs were able to strike just 2:14 into the game. Around 4 minutes later they were able to add another goal to make it 2-0 after first period.
The 2nd period started with another Mudbugs goal just 5 minutes into the frame. The Bugs would then add a late goal at the 19:34 mark to give them a 4-0 lead after second period.
The Nords would need everyone to come together if they wanted to come back in the 3rd. They were able to get a power play goal from the Veteran, Stefan Owens, but couldn't claw back and would see their cup run come to a close.
The Nordiques would like to thank all of Nordiques Nation on their support on an amazing season that would be remembered forever with an East Division banner hanging at the Colisee!
