Nords Dominate Hat Tricks with Impressive Offensive Showing

The Nordiques were looking to add some Rabbit to their Thanksgiving menu taking on the Hat Tricks for a Tuesday-Wednesday matchup. The first period started with some great action as Patrick Schmedlin put the pressure on and the Nords found themselves on a power play. They moved the puck around nicely and Brendan Gibbons found the back of the net with a no-angle shot that found its way in. The Nordiques didn't stop there as Kellen Murphy had a goal very similar to Gibbons from no angle. Henrik Hallberg would power through the neutral zone finding Filip Wiberg who set up Jonny Meiers in front and put it home. 3-0 Nords after one period. The Nordiques began the second with a power play goal as Henrik Hallberg found the back of the net to make it 4-0 which chased the Hat Tricks goaltender. The Nordiques played with pace and earned another goal as Evan Orloff pinched into the slot and fired a shot that Laurent Trepanier put home. Kael DePape also came up with a huge save to end the frame. 5-0 Nords after two periods. The Hat Tricks would respond on a 4-on-4 goal to start the third but that is all they would get in the game. The Hat Tricks would find themselves on a power play but Tony Achille would bury a shorthanded goal on a breakaway chance. The Nordiques would head to a power play of their own and Flip Wiberg would unleash a one-timer off the post and into the back of the net. With time running down the Nordiques added another as Henrik Hallberg charged into the zone and dropped the puck to Nick Bernardo who sniped it top shelf. 8-1 Nords win. The Nordiques look ahead tomorrow at 7pm before enjoying a Thanksgiving feast.
