"I never have a problem getting up for these matches."

Washington Kastle Nick Kyrgios was more than up for the challenge in front of him Thursday night in Acapulco, rising to the occasion to defeat world No. 2 Novak Djokovic 7-6(9), 7-5 in the Abierto Mexicano Telcel quarterfinals. Kyrgios fired 25 aces to just one double fault and secured a break late in the second set to clinch the upset.

"He's one of the greatest players of all time, but I'm playing with confidence," Kyrgios told the AP. "My serve is the best part of my game, and I had one of my best serving matches tonight."

With his win over Djokovic, Kyrgios now owns 11 Top 10 victories and added Djokovic to his list of first-time triumphs over Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. For a place in the final, the Australian will battle fellow Kastle Sam Querrey, who also scored an impressive victory.
