
NFL Films to Attend Nighthawks Game Tomorrow Night

Norfolk, VA (July 12, 2002) - This Saturday night, July 13, when the Nighthawks take on the Roanoke Steam, a crew from NFL Films will be on hand to get footage and interviews with Norfolk's Owner/ President/General Manager Ken Easley, Jr.
ESPN will be using the Norfolk Nighthawks' arena football game to get a look inside what one of the greatest free safeties ever to play the game is doing now. Easley, who played with the Seattle Seahawks from 1981-87, will be featured on ESPN's Distant Replay segment. Show date and times have not yet been finalized.
Throughout his career, Easley was named to five Pro Bowls and was the 1984 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He has been the only general manager of the Nighthawks since their inception in 1999 and is co-owner along with Washington Redskins defensive end Bruce Smith.
Easley, who is being honored by his former team this season when he is inducted into the Seahawks' ring of honor, was a Parade All-American at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake before attending UCLA from 1977-80. The induction ceremony will take place during Seattle's Monday night game, October 13th,versus the San Francisco 49ers.
Fans can still get tickets for Saturday's game at the Scope box office or by calling 626-0500. Kickoff is set for 7:15PM, with several special events honoring this final home game of 2002. The Nighthawks have won their last six home games in a row and have become one of the hottest teams in af2, winning six out of their last seven.
