News: Liz Bogus and Meghan Lisenby Announce Retirement

KANSAS CITY - FC Kansas City announced today that midfielder Liz Bogus and defender Meghan Lisenby have retired from professional soccer after helping the team win its second consecutive National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Championship.

Bogus, 32, spent two seasons with FC Kansas City after playing for the Seattle Reign FC in the league's inaugural season. In 2014, she started eight games and appeared in 13 matches for the Blues totaling 598 minutes and recoding two goals and an assist.

The Provo, Utah native started ten games and appeared in 18 last season while recording three goals against the Houston Dash, WNY Flash, and the Washington Spirit.

Lisenby, 23, was selected by FC Kansas City with the 16th overall pick at the 2015 NWSL College Draft after a successful career at Texas A&M. The McKinney, Texas native played a total of 14 minutes in five games for Coach Vlatko Andonovski last season.
