Newark Bears News Release

Mike Ness

Position: RHP, Starting Pitcher

From: Chatam, NJ

Ness went to Duke University, where he was a pitcher, and was later drafted by the Houston Astros. He played for Tri-City Valleycats of the New York Penn League for one year, in 2010, and played a role on the 2010 League Championship team. Ness has a live arm, and is projected to be the Bears number two or three starter in the rotation, and defiantly has a chance to get MLB affiliation very soon.
