New York Riptide Sign Long Island Native Connor Farrell

New York, NY - The New York Riptide today announced that Connor Farrell has been signed to a practice player contract. The deal is pending league approval.

Farrell, a native of Holtsville, NY, was drafted by the Riptide with the 24th overall selection in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft in September. He led the nation in face-off percentage (81.4%) and ground balls per game (16.75) as a senior at LIU-Post last season. His single-season face-off winning percentage and single-season ground balls per game totals in his final season were new NCAA Division II records. He also set a NCAA Division II single-game record with 30 ground balls against Merrimack. Farrell was a three-time All-ECC First Team member.

Farrell also played football at LIU-Post and was an NE-10 Conference champion in both 2016 and 2018 as a middle linebacker. This past summer, Farrell starred in the Premier Lacrosse League as a member of the Chrome.
