New York Riptide News Release

Uniondale, NY - The New York Riptide have acquired forward Connor Kearnan from the San Diego Seals in exchange for a 2021 second round pick (23rd overall) and a 2021 fifth round pick, the team announced today. The deal is pending league approval.

Kearnan was selected in the first round (11th Overall) of the 2018 NLL Entry Draft by the Seals. A graduate of Canisius College, Kearnan has played in 20 career NLL games, scoring 30 points on 13 goals and 17 assists, and scooping 53 loose balls. Last season, the Courtice, Ontario native notched back-to-back two-goal games against Vancouver and Saskatchewan

"We are excited by the acquisition of Connor to bolster the depth of our offense," Riptide General Manager Jim Veltman said. "He is a crafty player that we feel will work well with our current players. This is a fresh start for Connor, and we anticipate good things from him."

At the collegiate ranks, Kearnan was a two-time All-MAAC First Team honorary (2017, 2018), the 2018 MAAC Championship Most Valuable Player, the 2018 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, and the 2017 MAAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
