New York Red Bulls II Set to Compete in 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup

New York Red Bulls II News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls II have been selected to compete in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the United States Soccer Federation announced today. This will be the second time the club has competed in the competition, with the first being in 2015.
New York will be one of 11 MLS NEXT Pro teams that will participate in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, excluding those who have MLS first-teams represented in the 2024 U.S. Open Cup or participating in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup.
MLS NEXT Pro clubs were selected based on final 2023 year-end standings with Concacaf Champions Cup teams being excluded. Eight MLS teams in the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup are excluded from having its MLS NEXT Pro affiliate participate.
As a whole, 19 MLS and MLS NEXT Pro teams will compete in the competition for 2024.
