
New York Red Bulls II Acquire Striker Frank Ssebuufu from Wakiso Giants FC Via Transfer

HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls II have acquired Ugandan striker Frank Ssebuufu from Wakiso Giants FC, the club announced today.
Ssebuufu, 21, is joining the club from the Uganda Premier League, where he made 47 appearances over three seasons for Wakiso Giants FC. The striker has tallied three goals and an assist in 15 appearances for the side this season.
"We are pleased to welcome Frank to the club for our first MLS NEXT Pro season," Sporting Director Denis Hamlett said. "He has a bright future, and we know he will be a great addition to the team".
Most recently, Ssebuufu has featured for his nation, appearing in three matches for the Ugandan National Team in the African Nations Championship. Logging over 200 minutes, Ssebuufu's talents were showcased in his usual forward position.
"Frank has many skills that he can bring to the table and will be a great piece within the squad," Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya said. "His success both domestically and internationally was a main factor in our decision to bring him on board".
Ssebuufu and Red Bulls II start their season in MLS NEXT Pro on this Sundayagainst Columbus Crew 2 at MSU Soccer Park.
