New Ownership Delivers Fresh Start To Holman Stadium

Nashua, NH, (Oct 21, 2008) - The city of Nashua and Historic Holman Stadium have inked a 3-year deal and offered a warm welcome to the new owners, and a new start to baseball and entertainment. The AMERICAN DEFENDERS of New Hampshire (americandefenders.us) will make their debut in late May 2009 as a member of the independent professional Can-Am League (canamleague.com) and will also work to bring a concert series back to Holman Stadium.

The new ownership group, Boston Baseball All-Stars, LLC (BBAS, LLC) in a refreshing move, has offered shares to local business leaders and is led by Nokona Athletic Goods executives Buddy Lewis, Jerry O'Connor and Terry Allvord as well as former Red Sox general manager Dan Duquette. The team's daily operations will continue to be led by general manager Chris Hall.

"We are looking forward to improving baseball operations at all levels and revamping the game day experience to provide significant value for the youth groups, residents and fans in Southern New Hampshire," said Allvord. "The team will continue to operate as a Can-Am member and we are sure that Dan and Chris will be able to field a club loaded with high-caliber professional talent.
