A walk-off single from Stewart Nelson brought home the winning run for the Chillicothe Paints (22-27) in a 5-4 victory over the West Virginia Miners (28-20) in 10 innings at VA Memorial Stadium on Sunday. Bradley Boss racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He homered in the second inning and singled in the eighth inning. David Current brought the heat against the West Virginia Miners during his outing. Current held the West Virginia Miners hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two. James Doubet ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
