Ocean State Waves
Rinn, who was named one of five All-Stars for the Waves yesterday, led the league in batting average and finished 9-for-16 last week. In only four games, he posted a .563 batting average but was atop the league in runs scored (7) and RBI (9), while also drilling a double and one home run to and finished with a 1.392 OPS, fourth-best among all qualifiers.
Pitcher of the Week
RHP Jimmy Davitt

On the mound, Davitt was tremendous, making two appearances and one start during which he was untouchable. Over 12 innings, the rising junior right-hander did not allow an earned run, fanning a league-high 16 batters and finishing with a miniscule 0.67 WHIP over that span.
Honorable Mentions Brett Adcock (Sanford/Michigan) - Shared the league lead with 10 strikeouts over two appearances (one start), finishing with a 1.42 ERA over 6-1/3 innings of action.
Matt Byrne (Laconia/Iona) - Tied for the league lead in stolen bases and went 5-for-6 in attempts; also batted .360 (9-for-25) with three runs and five RBI.
Angelo La Bruna (Valley/USC) - Finished 10-for-21 (.476) with three runs, a double, two RBI and two stolen bases.
Toby Handley (Mystic/Stony Brook) - Batted .389 (7-for-18) while tying for the lead league with six runs scored. Also drove in three runs, poked a double and went 2-for-3 on the bases.
Thomas Jankins (Plymouth/Quinnipiac) - Surrendered his first earned run of the year after going more than 25 innings and struck out seven over 7-1/3 frames with only one earned run allowed to improve to 4-0 on the summer.
Zach Prendergast (North Adams/Seton Hall) - Led league with two wins in relief, tossing five innings with only one earned run allowed (1.80 ERA) with three strikeouts, no walks and three hit surrendered.
Brent Rooker (Newport/Mississippi State) - Tied for the league lead with three home runs and finished with a .375 batting average (6-for-16) and scored three runs while driving in six more.
Shea Spitzbarth (Laconia/Molloy) - Fanned eight with only one walk and five hits allowed in a strong start, picking up the win on a 7-1/3 inning performance.
Ty Wiest (Vermont/Columbia) - Made two strong appearances (one start) and finished with 7-2/3 scoreless innings while allowing only three hits and picking up a save.
Brad Zunica (Mystic/Miami) - Tied for the league lead with three home runs while boasting a league-best eight RBI. Also batted .316 (6-for-19) with three runs scored.
