Halifax Hurricanes

Although two of Halifax' three games this week were postponed due to snow, the Hurricanes played a full contest on Thursday night against Sudbury, only to fall 158-141. In the loss, Antoine Mason led all scorers with 44 points; including going 15-for-30. The newly- acquired CJ Washington scored 28 points, while Joel Kindred and Cliff Clinksales added 20 and 16 points each.
Island Storm

The Storm took a big win over the Sudbury Five on Friday night, 131-122, with five PEI players scoring at least 18 points on the night. The scoring was led by Nathaniel Wright (27 pts), with Antwon Lillard (23), Alex Campbell (22) and Robbie Robinson (21) putting points on the board. Robinson also had 11 rebounds for a double-double. The Storm's two other scheduled games were postponed due to snowy weather.
KW Titans

The Titans struggled with three losses this week, pushing them down to the basement of the NBL's Central Division. The newly- acquired Jared Nickens scored 26.5 points in two games, while Jonathan Harris added 17.7 ppg and 9.7 rpg, followed by Damon Lynn (17.0 ppg in two games).
London Lightning

In front of over 5,000 fans at Budweiser Gardens for Fanshawe College Night last Saturday, the Lightning rallied from a 7-point deficit to defeat the Windsor Express 99-91, keeping the Bolts atop the NBL Canada's Central Division. Xavier Moon lit up the scoreboard with a team-high 22 points, while Garrett Williamson notched his first-ever NBL Canada triple-double - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in the victory.

St. John's Edge

The Edge hosted their first games of the season this week, and both were victories over the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans. Karrington Ward was the top scorer for St.
John's with 19.0 ppg, with rookie Cane Broome not far behind with 18.0 ppg. Montay Brandon almost finished the week with a double-double of 13.0 ppg and 9.5 rebounds per game.
Sudbury Five

Although the Five split their two games this week, one of those games was a 158-point win over Halifax that helped the Five set a new NBL Canada record for most points in a regular-season game. For the week, the one- two punch of Jaylen Bland and Braylon Rayson finished with 27.5 and 20.0 ppg, respectively, while Marlon Johnson notched 20.5 ppg on the scoreboard. Johnson joined Brady Skeens with a 13.5 rebounds per game average.
Windsor Express

The Express split their two games this week, a victory over Kitchener-Waterloo, followed by a road loss to London. Shaquille Keith and Chris Jones led the scoring for the Rose City with 190 and 17.5 ppg, respectively; Kemy Osse added 15 ppg. Sam Muldrow was the top rebounder (10.5 rpg) and the top shot blocker (5.0 blocks per game).

NBL CANADA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Karrington Ward of the St. John's Edge has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 12, 2020.
Ward, a 6'7" forward from Eastern Michigan, was instrumental in the Edge's two victories this week, as he finished the week with an average of 19.0 ppg and 8.0 rpg. He was also 14-for-26 (.538) from three-point range.

NBL CANADA CANADIAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Garrett Williamson of the London Lightning has been named Canadian of the Week for the week ending January 12, 2020.
Williamson, a 6'5" guard who played collegiately at St. Joseph's of Pennsylvania, put together his first NBL Canada career triple double of 20 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists in front of a capacity crowd as the Lightning defeated Windsor, 99- 91.
