Brevard Blue Ducks News Release
The Roanoke Dazzle have acquired forward Terrence Shannon from the NBDL's available player pool, according to an announcement made by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Dazzle head coach Kent Davison. Shannon, who was in pre-season camp with the Detroit Pistons, returns to Roanoke where he was an honorable mention All-NBDL selection in each of the last two seasons. The 6-7, 185-pound forward has played in 84 games for the Dazzle, averaging 14.3 points and 5.3 rebounds.
The Elgin Community College product has played for the Blue Ducks since their inaugural season. He was second on the team behind Kwan Johnson in scoring, with an average of 15.1 PPG in 2002. Taking over the lead role in 2003, Terrence increased his scoring to 16.3 PPG to go along with 6.8 RPG. He missed the entire 2004 season with a foot injury he sustained while playing for Roanoke in their post-season. A true NBA prospect, Terrence has also played in camps for the Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.
He is expected to wear the same #33 on his jersey that he wore while playing with Brevard.
