NBA's MINOR LEAGUE ANNOUNCES SIXTH CHARTER MEMBER

COLUMBUS, GA, MAY 30, 2001 - Columbus, GA has been granted the sixth team in the National Basketball Development League, the NBA's new minor league, which will start play this November. Rob Levine, the NBA's Senior Vice President, New League Development made the announcement today at the Columbus Civic Center, the new home of Columbus' NBDL team.

"A city leadership with vision, a first-class arena and a committed community makes Columbus a welcome addition to our league." said Levine.

"Thanks to the efforts of our City Manager Carmen Cavezza and Council, Columbus is proud to enter into an agreement with Arena Ventures," said Mayor Peters. "Partnering with the NBDL and SFX Entertainment will not only help us maximize use of the Civic Center, but offer even more entertainment options for fans throughout our region. This agreement will take our city to another level in sports, concerts and family entertainment."
