April 18, 2005 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
THE FINAL GAME: Asheville and Columbus will play in the 2005 NBDL Championship Tournament Finals Saturday at the Columbus Civic Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EDT.
POSTSEASON HISTORY: Columbus is 2-2 all-time in NBDL postseason games. Asheville is 3-0. The Dragons and Altitude have never played in the postseason. The Altitude is the defending tournament champion, having defeated Huntsville in the finals last year.
SERIES HISTORY: Columbus won six of 10 meetings this season. The Riverdragons lead the all-time series 17-14.
ONE CONSTANT: Due to the nature of the beast, rosters fluctuate over the years in minor league basketball. The one constant for Columbus and Asheville is the head coaches. Both finishing their fourth season with their respective teams, Asheville's Joey Meyer sports a 104-96 regular season and 3-0 postseason record, while Columbus' Jeff Malone is 102-98 in the regular season and 2-2 in the postseason.

· Eleven (11) former NBDL players and five former officials suited up
for nine NBA games.
· Matt Carroll (Roanoke) scored 22 and grabbed 6 rebounds in 24 minutes
for the Bobcats
· Jason Hart (Asheville) scored 16 and had 6 boards in 28 minutes for
Charlotte.
· Jason Collier (Fayetteville) hit 5-of-6 FGA and scored 12 in 18
minutes for the Hawks.
· The Wizards placed Damone Brown (Huntsville) on the IL with right
shoulder biceps tendinitis.
