April 12, 2005 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
COST OF DOING BUSINESS: Development is the NBDL's mission, and Roanoke coach Kent Davison is the poster boy for the cause. Limping into the NBDL postseason having lost 11 of 16 games and three of his four top players to GATORADE Call-Ups since February 23, the core of Davison's team were suited up at Philips Arena in Atlanta on Monday. Matt Carroll and Cory Alexander with the Bobcats, as well as James Thomas of the Hawks, represent a combined 1,456 points, 661 rebounds and 329 assists now missing from the Roanoke stat sheet.
REPRESENTING IN THE A-T-L: In all, there were five former D-League players in uniform, one on the injured list, one former coach, as well as an official at work on the Philips Arena court on Monday.

· The Washington Wizards signed Damone Brown (Huntsville) for the
remainder of the season.
· Rafer Alston (Mobile) scored 20, had 9 assists and 6 rebounds for

NBA TV TOURNAMENT COVERAGE: Saturday's semi-final game between Roanoke and Columbus will be aired by NBA TV on a tape-delayed basis April 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Huntsville-Asheville semi-final will be aired on April 22 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The April 23 Championship Game will air April 25 at 4 p.m. ET.
TWIN: This Week in the NBDL, the live, weekly magazine-style show featuring all the skinny on the D-League, airs Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. Florida coach Dennis Johnson and Fayetteville coach Mike Brown will give their insights and predictions regarding the NBDL Championship Tournament.
