March 22, 2005 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
EXPANSION: NBA Commissioner David Stern announced Monday that the NBDL will be expanding into four markets in the Southwest beginning with the 2005-06 season. New markets for the NBA's Development League include Fort Worth and Austin, Texas, Albuquerque, N.M. and Tulsa, Okla.
GROWTH DETAILS: Announcements regarding name the team contests, arenas, tickets and staffing tip off today in Fort Worth and Wednesday in Austin. Similar events will be held in Tulsa and Albuquerque next week. Ticket information on each of the four new teams can also be found by visiting www.nbdlfortworth.com, www.nbdlaustin.com, www.nbdltulsa.com and www.nbdlalbuquerque.com.

· Matt Carroll (Roanoke) scored 12 points and had 5 rebounds in 26
minutes for the Bobcats.
· Bobby Simmons (Mobile) scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 27
minutes for the Clippers.
· Jason Hart (Asheville) played 29 minutes, scored 9 points and had 8
rebounds for the Bobcats.
FLAME SNUFFED OUT: The Florida Flame is out of the postseason hunt in its inaugural season. The Flame is 9 ½ games out of fourth place with eight games to play. Even if the third (Asheville) and fourth place (Huntsville) teams lost out and Florida won out, it wouldn't be enough.
GOW: This week's edition of the NBDL Game of the Week show airs Thursday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV and focuses on the Asheville-Huntsville game from March 12. Featured players include Lenny Stokes and Kirk Penney from the Altitude, as well as Austin Nichols and Earl Barron from the Flight.
