February 28, 2005 - NBA G League (G League) News Release

TOP SHELF TUESDAY: NBDL action returns Tuesday with the league's top two teams, Roanoke and Columbus, going at it at the Roanoke Civic Center. The Dazzle holds a 4-2 advantage in the season series.

OMAR COOKIN': Fayetteville point guard Omar Cook put together a major-league weekend as the Patriots defeated Asheville twice. Cook came off the bench to average 34.5 minutes in the two games, dishing out 26 assists and committing just one turnover. For good measure he converted 50-percent (8-16) from the field and collected eight rebounds.

ASSISTS RECORD: At their current pace both Omar Cook and Cory Alexander would shatter Alexander's NBDL single-assist record of 306 set in 2002-03. Keeping a steady course, Alexander would finish with 399 and Cook 378.
