NBA Summer Leagues Full Of CBA Players
July 11, 2007 - Continental Basketball Association 1 (CBA 1) News Release
ALBANY, NY (July 11, 2007) - With the start of NBA Summer League Camps, the CBA is well represented amongst the various camps. 43 players are on various rosters in Las Vegas, Orlando, Utah and Los Angeles Summer Leagues. Amongst those names are eight players from this past season, including CBA Champion Yakama Sun Kings guard Ralph Holmes and Newcomer of the Year Shawn Fountain.
"This number of players continues to show that the CBA is a viable vehicle for getting to the NBA," said CBA Acting Commissioner Jim Coyne. "We have a number of players that we expect to see on opening night in the NBA that are playing in the summer leagues now."
