NBA season kicks off with host of USBL alumni

Melbourne, FL â As the 2003-2004 NBA season kicks off, you'll find plenty of former USBL players on team rosters. But players aren't the only USBL alumni to hit the big-time in the NBA. There are a host of ex-USBL stars coaching as well as serving in front office capacities of many NBA teams.
Joining ex-USBL players such as veteran Houston Rockets guard Adrian Griffin, who's entering his 16th year in the NBA and newer talent such as San Antonio Spurs forward Devin Brown, who played with the Kansas Cagerz in 2002, are former USBL coaches like Golden State's head coach Eric Musselman (Florida Sharks â 1996), Mark Hughes, who serves as one of Doc Rivers' assistant coaches for the Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers new director of player personnel, Kevin Mackey, who coached both the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs and the Florida Sea Dragons in the USBL.
