ACKER AND JOHNSON: Need a hand? Call on Acker and Johnson. Since Alex Acker and Amir Johnson were assigned from the Detroit Pistons, the Fayetteville Patriots are 7-2. Acker is averaging 17.7 points and 4.4 rebounds, while Johnson is averaging 18.6 points and 7.0 rebounds.

THEY SAID IT: "What probably helped him more than anything was the fact that he went down to the D-League and was able to get some time on the floor. That league is showing its worth..." Dallas Mavericks guard Jerry Stackhouse told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about his rookie teammate Rawle Marshall's progress.

WHAT LAYOFF? Albuquerque center Andreas Glyniadakis didn't miss a beat after returning to the Albuquerque roster for the first time since being waived on February 21 to rehab a hand injury. After missing six games, Glyniadakis promptly came off the T-Birds bench to play 36 minutes, score 21 points and grab seven rebounds against Florida on Friday.

LUCKY 13: The Golden State Warriors signed Roanoke point guard Will Bynum to a 10-day contract on Friday, making him the 13th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2005-06 season and the 63rd since the league began play in November 2001.

MARCH GLADNESS: Will Bynum's GATORADE Call-Up on Friday was the seventh this month. Other promotions this month include Florida's Andre Barrett to Phoenix (3/1) and Toronto (3/15), Arkansas' James Lang to Atlanta (3/2), Fort Worth's Luke Schenscher to Chicago (3/5), Austin's Marcus Fizer to Seattle (3/8) and Fayetteville's Melvin Sanders to San Antonio (3/16).

POLAR OPPOSITE: After putting together a seven-game winning streak in February, the Austin Toros have now lost seven straight, including being 0-6 in March.
