New York/New Jersey Juggernaut News Release

Hempstead, New York-Jodie Cox picks up her seventh win of the season against the Chinese National Team, tossing a complete game and only allowing one run. Carri Leto, a 2004 NPF All-Star, led the offense going 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored. Ryan Realmuto contributed two RBIs in the Juggernaut 5-1 victory.

The Juggernaut offense came out aggressive and scored in the bottom of the first inning. Back-to-back singles by Natasha Watley and Carri Leto put two runners on base for New York. A sacrifice bunt by Leah Nelson moved both runners into scoring position allowing Laura Taylor to record her 12th RBI on the season.

New York added another run in the second. Again, back-to-back singles proved to kick start the scoring for the Juggernaut. Kim Ogee and Jackie Pasquerella started things off for New York. Watley flied out to deep centerfield, allowing Ogee to tag up to third base. With runners on the corners, Leto knocked Ogee in to score with a sac fly to center field.

China scored its only run of the game in the third inning. Miao Ruiying led off the inning for China with an infield single to third base. Two fielder choices and a walk loaded the bases for the Chinese National Team. Xin Chunxia batted in a run with a sacrifice bunt to score China's only run of the game.

The Juggernaut added another run on the board in the third with a solo homerun by Ryan Realmuto. Realmuto battled at the plate, and after fouling off multiple pitches, took a 3-2 pitch over the opposite field fence. Realmuto's third home run on the season scored the fourth run for the Juggernaut. Again in the fifth inning, Realmuto notched her 10th RBI on the season with a perfectly executed suicide squeeze to score Carri Leto from third.
