Orlando Predators News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (Apr. 2) -- The eyes of the nation and the world will focus on Orlando tomorrow when the Orlando Predators (6-3) entertain the Los Angeles Avengers (5-3) in a key Arena Football League battle at Hummer Field. Kickoff at the TD Waterhouse Centre is 12 noon.

The game will be the featured broadcast on the AFL on NBC, with the network's top broadcast team of Tom Hammond, Pat Haden and Lewis Johnson calling the game to 47 of the nation's 50 states. The game is also being carried worldwide to 178 countries on the Armed Forces Network.

Sirius Satellite Radio will also pick up the Los Angeles Avengers radio feed and broadcast it on Channel 127.

"It's a huge game for both teams," Orlando Predators head coach Jay Gruden said. "I told our guys earlier this week that there's a huge a difference between 7-3 and 6-4 at this point in the season. Los Angeles is an outstanding team with playmakers on both sides of the ball. We need to come out of the box on a high intensity level and play there for 60 minutes."

With a victory, the Predators could move in to at least sole possession of second place after New Orleans (6-4) lost to Austin on Friday night. First place Georgia (7-2) plays Saturday night against Tampa Bay (4-4). "We are entering the most critical part of our schedule. Over the next four weeks, we play Los Angeles, at Tampa Bay and back-to-back home games with New York and Georgia. How we play during that stretch will go a long way to determining whether we can compete for an AFL championship or watch the playoffs on television."

A crowd in excess of 13,000 is expected for the game. About 1,500 tickets, priced at $17 and $22 remain available by calling 407-44-PREDS, visiting TICKETMASTER or the TD Waterhouse Box Office on game day.
