
Nationals' Partnership Gives Kids 'Super' Experience

(Hamilton, Ontario)... The Hamilton Nationals have announced a partnership with the Hamilton Super Series for their Friday, July 1st Major League Lacrosse. The Nationals will host the Long Island Lizards at Ron Joyce Stadium. The 7:00 p.m. contest, on Canada Day, will be broadcast live on ESPN3.com.
Super Series XXXIV features 57 teams in tyke and midget age groups, and runs from Friday, July 1st to Sunday, July 3rd. Four teams from Hamilton will host nearby clubs from Six Nations, Burlington, Oakville, and from as far away as Nepean, and will play on five pads and four arenas in Hamilton. The partnership is an opportunity for members of the Hamilton Lacrosse Association to meet local pros.
"It will be great exposure and something we can build on in the future," said Hamilton Lacrosse Association Director Gary Gallant.
Nationals players will attend the tournament and sign autographs on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the Nats will have a tent at the main location, Chedoke Twin Pad Arena, at 11:00 a.m. Chedoke, Mountain, Lawfield, Inch and Valley Park will host the events with the championships on Sunday from 1:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Chedoke (91 Chemac Dr.).
The Nationals will donate a T-shirt and one ticket voucher for every Game MVP in the tournament. Group tickets are available for all players and families for $10. Kids under 10 will be admitted free. The Nationals (3-3) enter the game tied for third place in the MLL and hold a one-game lead over the Lizards for the fourth and final playoff spot. The Nats, who have won two straight games, can tie their franchise record with a victory Friday.
