Nationals Activate Point and Billy Dee Smith

(Hamilton, June 30)... The Hamilton Nationals announced four player moves today prior to the team's Friday night game against the Long Island Lizards. The Nationals activated midfielders Craig Point and Billy Dee Smith from the Physically Unable to Perform List. Point was added to the active roster, while Smith was added to the practice squad. Point has appeared in one game this season.

In related moves, the Nats placed faceoff specialist Geoff Snider on the One-Game Injured Reserve Extension List and waived attackman Stephan Leblanc. Snider was recently named to the 2011 MLL All-Star Game. The faceoff man leads the Nationals with 59 faceoff wins and has the second most ground balls with 26. He has also chipped in one goal and two assists in four games.

On Friday, the Nationals (3-3) will host the Long Island Lizards (2-4) at 7:00 p.m. at Ron Joyce Stadium.
