
Nationals' Billings Wins Indoor Award

Hamilton Nationals midfielder Garrett Billings was named the winner of the National Lacrosse League's Sportsmanship Award.
The Toronto Rock forward, who finished the regular season ranked second in NLL scoring for the second-straight year with 100 points (30+70), recorded just four penalty minutes on the season as the Langley, BC native exemplified a high level of sportsmanship to go along with tremendous play on the field.
In the summer of 2012, Billings had a breakout season in Major League Lacrosse. He notched 14 goals and 12 assists (26 points) for the Hamilton Nationals. Billings was re-acquired by Hamilton with the 19th overall selection in the 2012 Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft. He finished his collegiate career at the University of Virginia with an amazing 206 points (125+91) in 69 career games and was a two-time All-American from 2006-09.
Billings is expected to be in the Nationals' lineup Saturday when Hamilton takes on the Boston Cannons at 7:00 p.m. Saturday night. Fans can watch the game live on ESPN3.
