Hamilton Nationals News Release

(Hamilton, August 23)... The Hamilton Nationals have activated RIT product Jordan MacIntosh for the 2011 Major League Lacrosse Championship Weekend. In a related move, Hamilton placed rookie defenseman Bill Henderson on the practice roster.

The Nationals (7-5) meet the Denver Outlaws (7-5) on Saturday, August 27th in a 3:00 p.m. semifinal showdown at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN 2 and ESPN3.com.

MacIntosh was acquired in the June MLL Player Pool. The Oakville, Ontario, native was named a 2011 Second Team All-American for the 19-1 RIT Tigers. He repeated as an All-American after earning honorable mention status in 2010. A two-time All-Empire 8 First Team selection and the 2010 Empire 8 Co-Player of the Year, MacIntosh led the Tigers in scoring this season with 75 points (43+32).

"I watched some Nationals games the past couple of years," said MacIntosh when he was acquired by Hamilton. "I just hope I can bring something to the lineup."

This season, he showed his versatility by finishing second on the team with 93 ground balls and winning 103-of-200 faceoffs. The 75 points in 2011 is 10th all-time at RIT for points in a season. He finished his career at RIT 25th on the all-time scoring list with 128 points (79+49).

"Getting to play there for two years was an awesome experience," said MacIntosh. "Losing the last game stung, but going 19-1 and reaching the Final Four was amazing. It was something I was happy to be a part."

Prior to coming to Rochester, he played two seasons at Gordon College and scored 47 goals and added 25 assists for 72 points in 24 games. He earned All-Commonwealth Coast Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2009. MacIntosh was second on the team in scoring in 2008 and 2009. He was an instant contributor once he got to RIT.

In the summer, he played box lacrosse for the Ajax-Pickering Rock of Major Series Lacrosse. The first-round MSL draft selection has 32 goals and 28 assists in 17 games with the Rock in 2011. He played his Junior "A" ball with the Burlington Chiefs and was a past Team MVP.
