
National Women's Soccer League Issues Fine to Boston Breakers

CHICAGO (July 4, 2014) - National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Executive Director Cheryl Bailey announced today that the Boston Breakers have been fined an undisclosed amount for comments critical of the match officials that were made by general manager Lee Billiard and head coach Tom Durkin regarding Wednesday's game against the Washington Spirit.
All fines collected by the NWSL will be donated to the U.S. Soccer Foundation, the exclusive charitable partner of the League.
