National Arena League Announces Expansion Team for 2023

ATLANTA, GA - As the 2022 NAL Regular Season begins to reach its last stretch of games before the postseason the National Arena League is excited to announce its first expansion team for the 2023 season. Currently the NAL has six teams throughout the United States and will now have a seventh team that will join the league next year in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The franchise was approved this month by the NAL board of directors for the 2023 season, officially, the Fayetteville will begin operations as an NAL expansion team. 2023 will serve as their inaugural season as a franchise under team owner Dr. Robert Twadell who is a local business owner in Fayetteville and medical professional with over 26 years of experience.
"Fayetteville is looking forward to bringing a competitive arena football team to the National Arena League. We have a Coach that will be joining us with over 15 years of experience and won championships in multiple arena football leagues." Stated Owner Dr. Robert Twadell.
The National Arena League and the Fayetteville franchise will be announcing their team name, logo, home arena, head coach, team website and colors in the near future to fans more to look forward to this offseason. Fayetteville will become the seventh NAL franchise in 2023 awarding North Carolina (Greensboro, Fayetteville) as the second state to host two NAL franchises joining Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando). The move will strengthen the league's presence on the Atlantic coast as Fayetteville is the largest city in the southeastern region of North Carolina, the second-largest city (by miles) in the entire state of North Carolina. It's also famously known as the home to Fort Bragg, the world's largest military base home to more than 260,000 people and 54,000 active military service men & women.

More news about the 2023 season will be announced this fall as four teams will enter the 2022 NAL playoffs with only two advancing to the 2023 National Arena League championship.
