Nashua Silver Knights Set to Start Inaugural Season on Saturday

NASHUA, NH - The Nashua Silver Knights are set to kick-off their inaugural season with this weekend.

Nashua's own Alek Morency gets the call to start the first-ever game in Silver Knights team history at Holman Stadium.

As part of the festivities on Saturday, June 11 at Holman Stadium with a 5:05 p.m. start Mayor Donnalee Lozeau is scheduled to throw a special ceremonial pitch. As part of the pre-game ceremonies a helicopter will bring in the inaugural baseballs and drop them off on the field.

Also on Saturday, June 11th James Desjardins and Jeff Steiner will throw out special ceremonial pitches for selecting the name "Knights" as part of the Name the Team Contest. It is the first appearance of the season by Jumping Jack Flash the Frisbee Dog and the Living Baseball Statue.

On Sunday, June 12th as part of New England Patriots Night Stephen Gostkowski will be kicking autographed footballs into the crowd between-innings. Several lucky fans will take home an autographed football from the Patriots kicker. Game time is set for 5:05 p.m.

Also on Sunday June 12th the Silver Knights will be donating a $1 of every ticket sold to the Supa Coop Fund, which benefits Cooper Doucette. The Supa Coop Fund provides assistance in any way that we can to help alleviate stress and financial burdens, allowing Cooper and his family to focus on his recovery.
