Pete Frates with Ice Bucket Bobble

LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, and the Nashua Silver Knights of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, are very excited to honor Pete Frates with his very own Pete Frates Ice Bucket Bobble.
The Bobble features Pete Frates in his Boston College baseball uniform with the No. 3 where his head does not bobble, but instead the ice bucket he is holding over his head bobbles to commemorate his role in the phenomenon that was last summer's number one news story.
For fans who want to guarantee themselves a Pete Frates Ice Bucket Bobble and benefit the Pete Frates #3 Fund at the same time there is a special pre-sale available. There are 1,000 Ice Bucket Bobble Dolls available for sale at $20 each through www.LowellSpinners.com with proceeds to benefit the Pete Frates #3 Fund.
Then the weekend of July 25th and July 26th will be used to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Ice Bucket Challenge and help raise even more awareness for ALS. The first 500 fans in Nashua on July 25th and the first 1,000 fans in Lowell on July 26th will receive this special Pete Frates Ice Bucket Bobble giveaway. In addition the Frates family will be on hand for both games.
"We are honored to be able to host this special night and honor both Pete and his family, who have been tireless in their support of creating awareness for ALS and working toward a cure," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "We hope this is a night to remember for the family, but also a night that can raise awareness and dollars to support the cause."
"By having an additional component with the online fundraising, we are able to offer fans who want to support the event but cannot attend a chance to do so," said Bawmann.
"Pete and his family have really been inspiring as he continues to fight this terrible disease," said Bawmann. "Their approach to life is something that everyone should hope to achieve and we are honored they have partnered with us for this incredible event."
