ATLANTA, GA - The National Arena League today announces the departure of its esteemed Commissioner, Chris Siegfried. After serving as the Director of Football Operations since league inception, and NAL Commissioner since 2018, Siegfried has made the decision to resign from his role, effective immediately.
Throughout his six-year tenure, Siegfried has played a pivotal role in guiding the NAL to unprecedented heights, including the successful re-launch of rebound nets, and the return of "ironman" football. With his visionary leadership and steadfast commitment, the league has become one of the most prestigious arena football organizations in the world. During his leadership, the NAL offered great entertainment value to fans, and created an active community within arena football. After six years of laying a great foundation, his contributions to the league will no doubt allow the National Arena League to continue its success and growth across the nation.
Reflecting on his tenure Siegfried shared, "It has been an honor to serve the National Arena League as Commissioner and Director of Football Operations. The experiences I've gained during this time have been both challenging and rewarding. I'd like to extend my gratitude to the owners, coaches, players, and staff for their hard work and dedication to the NAL. The league is moving in a new direction, and I believe they will enjoy great success."
