Milwaukee - The Milwaukee Mustangs will open the season on Monday, March 14th at home in the Bradley Center as they take on their rival Chicago Rush at 6:30 PM.
The Rush are coming off of a 10-6 season in which they secured a spot in the playoffs. However, a 64-54 loss to Milwaukee in the quarterfinal playoff game last season will be sure to turn up the intensity between two teams only 90 miles apart. Returning for Chicago is quarterback Russ Michna, who had an excellent season last year, throwing for 3,860 yards and 70 touchdowns, while finishing second in passer rating at 126.0 after all 16 games.
Milwaukee will be bringing the Mustangs back this year with a new team led by All-Arena Football League standout wide receiver Damian Harrell, who holds almost every major receiving record in AFL history, including over 320 touchdowns as well as AFL Offensive player of the year for both the 2005 & 2006 seasons.
Joining fans for the opener will be Champion Running back Ryan Grant as we salute him and the green and gold, for a championship season. That's Monday night the 14th as we take on the Chicago Rush at the BC. Action starts at 6:30, but get there early to see all the excitement of the season opener.
