Milwaukee Mustangs News Release
MILWAUKEE (December 22, 2011) - The Milwaukee Mustangs announce the reassignment of OL/DL James Economou (6'6, 335, Southern Connecticut State) to the 2012 roster.
Economou was assigned to the Mustangs midway through the 2011 season and played two games to help the team after the injury of Michael Diaz. He joins the stampede for another season in 2012.
As a Southern Connecticut State Owl, Economou was a 2010 and 2009 honors candidate and a preseason All-American. He was named an all-region selection by Don Hansen's Football Gazette, was a first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference pick, and helped lead the offense to rank second in the league in rushing and passing yards per game, and first in scoring and total offense.
Also joining the ranks of the stampede is rookie DB Ki' Ameer Johnson (6'1, 210, Rhode Island). Johnson received his first NFL tryout in 2008 and was one of more than 75 players at the Cleveland Browns minicamp.
The 2012 Milwaukee Mustangs are thrilled to honor and represent the Arena Football League as they celebrate their Silver 25th Anniversary this season. Tickets and sponsorships on sale now!
