Muskegon Thunder to hold Blue/White Scrimmage Sunday

MUSKEGON - The Muskegon Thunder of the Continental Indoor Football League will hold its annual Blue/White scrimmage at 11:00 a.m.on Sunday, February 24th at Shoreline Soccer Club, 6875 Norton Pines Drive in Spring Lake. A roster of 28 is expected as head coach Shane Fairfield began making cuts this week in preparation for the final regular season roster which will be pared down to 25 by Tuesday, February 26th.
Sunday's scrimmage will be preceded by positional workout sessions beginning at 9:00 a.m. as the team continues to prepare for its season opener versus the Marion Mayhem on March 8th at Muskegon's L.C. Walker Arena. The intrasquad action will last approximately 45 minutes followed by an opportunity for fans and media to meet the players and coaches.
On Wednesday, February 27th the team will hold an official contract signing party beginning at 7:00 p.m. hosted by Buffalo Wild Wings, 5638 South Harvey in Muskegon. The 25 players who will don the Carolina Blue for the 2008 season will be introduced to fans and media. Further details of the event will be included in a future press release.
