MUSKEGON - The Muskegon Thunder and the Continental Indoor Football League will be featured on a live broadcast of the HUGE SHOW, featuring host Bill Simonson, on Friday, April 4th from 3-6 p.m. as a prelude to that night's CIFL game between the Thunder (2-1) and their undefeated rival, the Kalamazoo Xplosion (4-0).
The HUGE SHOW will take place at Brann's Steakhouse & Grille, 5510 Harvey Street in Muskegon, next to the Lakes Mall. The Thunder will have two interview guests on the show and the HUGE ONE will also be in attendance at the game to participate in the opening coin toss and other activities.
While at Brann's, those in attendance will have a chance to win prizes including Thunder tickets and merchandise and gift certificates from Brann's. There will also be specially discounted tickets available only at the restaurant during the HUGE SHOW. Tickets in the Thunder Zone (south end zone) are normally $16 the day of the game, but will be available at Brann's for just $10!
The game promises to be intense as the two divisional rivals battle for position and bragging rights in this early season showdown. Last season, Kalamazoo won both matchups by a combined total of just 10 points. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that three members of the 2007 Thunder roster are now playing for the Xplosion as Brent Lesniak, L.J. Parker and Mike Wilford changed colors in 2008. Likewise, Jon Horn, who played for Kalamazoo last year, just signed with Muskegon last week.
Bill Simonson hosts the "Huge Show" each weekday from 3-6 p.m. and nationally from 6-9 p.m. on Sundays. The sports talk show host allows listeners "to tell it like it is" on all subjects from the local level all the way up the pros and everything in between. Regular guests include nationally known athletes, coaches and media personnel. Listeners are invited to call in or e-mail the show to get their two cents in on that day's topics.
