Muskegon Lumberjacks Add Derek Daschke

Muskegon, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks would like to welcome defensemen Derek Daschke to the organization from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.

The Western Michigan commit is playing in his second season in the United States Hockey League. Last season with the RoughRiders, Daschke scored three goals and notched nine assists in 55 games. With the RoughRiders this season, Daschke has one assist in five games.

Daschke was a participant in the USA Hockey All-American Prospects game with Lumberjacks defensemen Mitch Eliot and Alex Green, and was listed on the 2016 NHL central scouting list. A list that highlights the players to watch for the 2016 NHL entry draft.

The Troy MI. native spent his time playing youth hockey for the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies before joining the RoughRiders last season.
