Atlanta Gladiators News Release

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that goaltender Adam Munro has been called up to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.

"We are proud of Adam and this is a great opportunity for him," said Gladiators General Manager Steve Chapman. "He's a good solid goaltender who has the tools for success at the AHL level."

In six games this season, Munro has posted a 2.76 goals against average and a .894 save percentage and a 4-1-1 record. A first round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2001 NHL entry draft, Munro joins the Blackhawk's AHL affiliate, Norfolk, after attending the NHL's Ottawa Senators and AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins training camps back in September.

The Gladiators travel to Charlotte to take on the Checkers this evening in a 7:05 p.m. tilt at the Cricket Arena. Tomorrow night is College Night at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Get a $5 mezzanine level ticket with a valid college ID when you purchase your ticket at the Arena at Gwinnett Center Box office.
