TEMPE, AZ (December 1, 2010) - There have been three Yellowbook CHL Coaches Polls released this season and for the third straight time, there is a new team sitting in the #1 spot as the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs take over the top spot by one point over the most recent #1 team, the Allen Americans (previous poll released on Nov. 17). The Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll is released on or near the beginning and middle of each month throughout the regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place votes earn nine points, etc.

Despite earning one fewer first place vote the Americans (15-4-0), the Mudbugs (16-5-0) accumulated one more point. Since the beginning of the regular season, the ‚¬ËœBugs and Americans have been sitting pretty on top of the Berry Conference with Bossier-Shreveport currently owning a two point advantage over the Americans. The CHL's top two teams clash on Friday night (Dec. 3) when the Mudbugs visit the Americans at the Allen Event Center. The game can be seen LIVE on CHL-TV.

The only other team to receive a first place vote was the Turner Conference leading Colorado Eagles (12-4-1) who were the top team in the first poll of the season (released on Nov. 5). Allen earned nine first place votes, Bossier-Shreveport had eight first place votes and Colorado took the top spot on one ballot (teams are unable to vote for themselves).

The biggest jump in the current poll came from the Texas Brahmas (9-5-2) who have posted a 6-2-1 record since Nov. 6. The Brahmas moved up five spots from #9 to #4. Rounding out the top five and making a huge splash in the current poll are the Missouri Mavericks (9-6-2) who were just outside the top 10 in the last coaches poll but now find themselves in the #5 spot.

The biggest drop in the current poll came from Rio Grande Valley (fell from #5 to #9) and Wichita (dropped from #6 to #10). The Evansville IceMen were the lone team to drop out of the poll falling from the #10 slot in the previous list.
