
Montgomery Wins Jack Adams Award

Former Dubuque Fighting Saints General Manager and Head Coach Jim Montgomery has been named the recipient of the Jack Adams Award as the 2022-23 National Hockey League Coach of the Year.
In his first season with the Bruins this year, Montgomery led Boston to the league's winningest record with a 65-12-5 mark in establishing an NHL record for single-season points (135) and wins.
Montgomery led Dubuque to a 118-45-21 record for a .698 winning percentage in his three years with the organization (2010-13). The Fighting Saints won Clark Cups in 2010-11 and 2012-13 as league playoff champions during that time and Montgomery was named USHL General Manager of the Year in 2011.
Montgomery is the first former USHL coach to win the NHL Jack Adams Award.
