Fresno Monsters News Release
The NAHL Monsters will battle the Wenatchee Wild tonight and tomorrow at Selland Arena in the last two regular season home games of the 2011-2012 season. The Fresno Monsters currently hold the 4th and final playoff spot in the west division of the NAHL, one point ahead of the 5th place Kenai River Brown Bears. The games at Selland Arena begin at 7:35pm, and doors open at 6:35pm. Saturday is Pack the House Night with prize giveaways throughout the game.

NAHL Fresno Monsters vs. Kenai River, vs. Fairbanks
Tue., 3/13/12 - Fresno 6, Kenai River 2:
Half way through their 8-game road trip, the Fresno Monsters pull another win with an explosive 5-goal 2nd period.
Wed., 3/14/12- Fresno 4, Kenai River 5:
Three third period goals, including one on a powerplay, lifted the Kenai River Brown Bears over the Monsters in the last regular season meeting between the two teams.
Fri., 3/16/12- Fresno 4, Fairbanks 5:
Fairbanks' third period goal tied the game at 4-4 sending it to a shootout with no scoring in overtime. Monsters scored no points in the shootout while Fairbanks scored on the first two shooters.
Sat., 3/17/12- Fresno 2, Fairbanks 1:
After two first period goals, the Monsters held the Ice Dogs to only one score in the third period to get the victory in the last regular season meeting between the two teams.
NAHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
Brendan Bradley: Bradley is on a 15-game point streak. He has notched at least a point per game in the last 15 games adding up to 18 points.
TOMAS SHOLL: On this road swing, Sholl faced 137 shots on goal, saved 125, good enough for a .912 save percentage and NAHL honorable mention for player of the week.
Luke Sandler: Sandler was on a hot-streak, scoring 7 points in 4 games, including 5 goals and 2 assists.

WSHL Monsters vs. Valencia Flyers

Friday, 3/16/2012 - Monsters 4, Flyers 3:Two goals were scored by Beisinger and McKee on power plays in the first period. Marc Haaf scored the game-winning goal in the third period to break the tie. Saturday, 3/17/2012 - Monsters 2, Flyers 3 Overtime Loss: Two goals by the Flyers in the third period sent the game into over time. Valencia went on to score in overtime at the 13:03 mark taking the victory.
Sunday, 3/18/2012 - Monsters 4, Flyers 2:After Valencia tied the game in the second period 2-2, huge goals by Mckee and Beisinger in the third period made the Monsters victorious over the Flyers and sent the Monsters to the Thorne Cup Finals in El Paso, Texas March 29 - April 1.
WSHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
JASON BEISINGER: Beisinger led the way for the Monsters to earn the series victory, tallying 7 points against the Flyers with 5 goals and 2 assists in 3 games.
TOM McGUCKIN: McGuckin was solid in net for the Fresno Monsters, earning two wins in net to help seal the series victory over the Valencia Flyers.
NICK McKEE: McKee racked up the points against the Flyers, notching 2 goals and 4 assists for Fresno.
