WSHL Monsters @ Phoenix Knights; Chandler, Arizona
Friday, 10/21/2011 - Monsters 6, Knights 2: The Monsters' offense was firing on all cyclinders Friday, lighting the lamp for 6 goals. Fresno went on to defeat the Phoenix Knights 6-2 in the first game of the three-game series.Saturday, 10/22/2011 - Monsters 5, Knights 1: Fresno's defense was solid Saturday, stopping 24 of 25 shots on goal. The Monsters were 3 for 4 on the power play, leading the way to a 5-1 victory.
Sunday, 10/23/2011 - Monsters 10, Knights 3: The Fresno Monsters completed the three-game sweep in impressive fashion over the Phoenix Knights and extended their win streak to 9 games. Fresno's offense unloaded for 10 goals, their largest scoring outburst of the season this far.
WSHL PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
JUSTIN PLATE: Plate was a huge factor in Fresno's three-game sweep over the Phoenix Knights. He tallied one assist Friday, a hat trick on Saturday including the game-winning goal on the power play, and one goal and one assist on Sunday.
KYLE GODFREY: Godfrey was solid for Fresno again the Phoenix Knights. Friday he recorded one goal and one assist Friday, an assist on the power play Saturday, and a goal and two assists on Sunday.
NICK McKEE: McKee lead the charge for Fresno yet again this weekend against the Phoenix Knights. Friday he scored a goal, Saturday he assisted on two goals, and Sunday he scored two goals, one of which was on the power play.
