WEEKEND RECAP

Vs. Wenatchee Wild ‚¬"Town Toyota Center ‚¬" Wenatchee, WA

FRIDAY, 12/31/2010: The Monsters dropped a close one to the Wenatchee Wild on New Year ‚¬â„¢s Eve by a final score of 4-3.

SATURDAY, 1/1/2011: Fresno suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Wenatchee Wild, this time by a final score of 7-2.

NAHL Monsters Transactions: The Fresno Monsters completed a trade with the Waterloo Black Hawks, a tier I team in the United States Hockey League, sending team- leading scorer John Siemer to Waterloo in exchange for forwards Matt Coleman and T.J. Powers. The Fresno Monsters also received Steven Obrazanek from the Amarillo Bulls in the South Division of the NAHL.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT

STEVEN OBARZANEK: In his first game in a Monsters ‚¬â„¢ sweater, newly acquired forward Obarzanek scored an unassisted goal in Friday ‚¬â„¢s contest against the Wenatchee Wild.

DEREK SUTLIFFE: Sutliffe had two goals in Friday ‚¬â„¢s game including a power play goal and second star of the game honors. He also had a power play goal in Saturday ‚¬â„¢s contest against the Wenatchee Wild.

JOHAN BJORKLUND: Bjorklund recorded an assist in both Friday and Saturday ‚¬â„¢s games against the Wenatchee Wild.
